Story 1:  We pause to bow our heads on the 100^th Anniversary of the Battle of The Somme.  Over 20,000 Courageous Brits (and nations of the Crown) gave their lives for Freedom on this day, as did scores of others, including the Brave men of France.  I repeat, over 20,000 died on the first day of the Battle of The Somme.
